Accounts Administrator

£26,520 per annum

The client are a manufacturer and supplier of components, products and systems to various industry sectors. They despatch to a global customer base and, due to continued confidence in the sectors they supply into, are seeking to recruit an Accounts Administrator to their team.

Reporting to the Accounting Director you will carry out duties within the accounts team, primarily on the purchase ledger and on payroll.

Responsibilities / Job duties are as follows;

  • All aspects of operation of the purchase ledger, including matching invoices to GRN's and entering onto company system
  • Supplier statement reconciliation and liaising with suppliers to resolve differences
  • Making payments to suppliers and posting remittances 
  • Update of cash flow and payment plans
  • Deal with expenses and various daily reports
  • Carry out payroll, running payroll on Sage 50.
  • Assist in maintaining the time and attendance system
  • Submission of reporting to HMRC


As a purchase ledger assistant you will need to hold the following skills and experience.

  • Held a previous role with an accounts department 
  • Hold knowledge of operation of a purchase ledger
  • Strong administration experience, computer literate and good Office skills (Word, Outlook etc)
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 or SAP would be advantageous but not essential
  • Confident telephone manner and a friendly, courteous persona


The client is based in Redditch so would be easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Solihull, Droitwich, Alcester.

The role is Days. 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday. Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm.
