The company design and manufacture bespoke engineering systems and test machinery for various industry sectors including automotive and defence. Due to increased sales and growth they are seeking to strengthen their team by the recruitment of a Commissioning Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Director - the main purpose of the Commissioning Engineer role is the responsibility for the commissioning and overseeing the installation of equipment and systems to ensure they work safely and to clients needs.
Key responsibilities and duties would be;
- Checking onsite system electrical installations and fault finding as necessary
- Calibrating and setting up electronic data acquisition, electrical and mechanical systems
- PID tuning of standard automotive control loops
- Working with development engineers to test bespoke control software
- Configuring test sequences and performing test runs
- Following commissioning steps and checks
- Liaise with customers to achieve system functionality sign off
- Producing commissioning time schedules
- Undertake customer service calibration, fault finding and rectification visits
- Site based role mainly UK and overseas
I would be keen to receive your application if you are a Commissioning Engineer who holds the following experience and skills;
- Electrical understanding, with ability to understand and read electrical drawings and to diagnose issues
- Ideally hold a degree in engineering or an electrical qualification
- Understanding of software development is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Able to work away from home when required
- Hold a UK driving license
The role is a day shift Monday to Friday with some flexibility in working hours
The company are based in the Malvern area so are easily commutable from Worcester, Hereford, Cheltenham, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Redditch, Birmingham
Salary - from £38,000 to £42,000 per annum
