Customer Service Representative

We are recruiting for a Customer Service Representative in the Bracknell Area.  Our Client is the World’s largest independent manufacturer within their field.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience within a customer service role preferred
  • Experience with handling non-EU Export orders, knowledge of Incoterms and Customs declaration procedure is a plus
  • Experience using Oracle ERP (desirable) Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a wider team
  • Ability to speak an additional language to English advantageous (French, Spanish, Italian or German desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal ability – communication, motivation and persuasion
  • Strong team player with the ability to work, create and maintain effective and trusting relationships cross functionally

Details:

  • Salary: £20,000 - £25,000
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours – Flexible 8-4, 8.30-4.30 or 9-5
  • Location: Bracknell
  • Duration: Permanent

 

Role of a Customer Service Representative

  • Handle and respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email
  • Communicate effectively with the Customer Service team and other departments including Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounts, etc
  • Process customer orders in Oracle accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Attend customer meetings on/off-site as and when required
  • Complete customer / region specific certification in relation to the export of goods as required.
  • Dealing with customer’s freight forwarder to arrange collection
  • Produce manual pick lists, packing lists and invoices
  • Liaise with DBS in relation to credits, new customers and amendments
  • Arrange taxis, hotels and lunches for visitors as required
  • Assist sales managers with pricing queries
  • Check stock availability prior to processing an order
  • Organise shipping documentation for auditors as required
  • Request POD’s, certificate of shipment from the customer or courier
