The company are an established global designer and manufacturer of retail and hospitality display systems. Due to continued success and growth they are seeking to recruit a Draughtsperson for their operations.
Reporting to the Managing Director - the main purpose of the role is to liaise with engineers to to convert designs into technical plans for the business
Key responsibilities and duties would be;
- Liaise with engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
- Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
- Describe production methods step by step
- Create detailed designs with CAD software
- Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow
- Prepare and review rough sketches and review them
- Identify any operational issues and re-design products to improve functionality
- Ensure final designs comply with quality standards
I would be keen to receive your application if you are a Drafter who holds the following experience and skills;
- Proven experience as a Drafter or a similar position
- Have product industry knowledge of the hospitality and retail display sector
- Experience of CAD/Solidworks/Inventor software
- A strong technical knowledge
The role is Days - 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
The company are based in Redditch so are easily commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Droitwich, Dudley, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Stratford upon Avon, Studley, Henley in Arden.
Salary circa £32k
