The company are an established global designer and manufacturer of retail and hospitality display systems. Due to continued success and growth they are seeking to recruit an Estimator for their operations.
Reporting to the Managing Director - the main purpose of the role is to prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and important metrics. Provide detailed reports so the business can make informed decisions that will enhance it's profitability and growth.
Key responsibilities and duties would be;
- Understand the project/program and it's requirements
- Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
- Gather first hand information from sites and other venues
- Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times etc
- Use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting
- Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
- Perform risk analysis
- Create and submit estimate reports or bids to project managers, clients etc
I would be keen to receive your application if you are an estimator who holds the following experience and skills;
- Proven experience as an estimator or a similar position
- Preferably have knowledge of the hospitality and retail display sector
- Knowledge of metalwork, woodwork, acrylic if possible
- A strong technical knowledge
- In depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
- Excellent communication and team player
The role is Days - 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
The company are based in Redditch so are easily commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Droitwich, Dudley, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Stratford upon Avon, Studley, Henley in Arden.
Salary circa £30k
