Heavy Plant Fitter is required to join our prestigious client based in South Yorkshire. Experts in Waste Management with over 40 years’ experience.
The main purpose of the role is to diagnose faults, maintain, repair and service heavy recycling plant machinery at both the Sheffield and Retford sites.
The successful candidate will have all the relevant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the mechanical engineering industry with good knowledge in hydraulics, electrics and engines.
Experience working on shredders, loading shovels and 360s would be advantageous but not essential. Some welding experience would also be an advantage.
Candidates must be able to work alone, fault find quickly and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
You will need to be flexible and have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be able to manage your time efficiently along with working to tight deadlines.
We are looking for a team player, but also require someone that can work alone and use their initiative and be willing to undertake other reasonable duties when required.
Hols: 21-days holiday + stats on commencement (rising to 24-days on completion of 10-years’ continuous service).
Rate of Pay: Circa £15 – 18 p/h DOE
