Internal Sales Representative

We are recruiting for an Internal Sales Representative near to Redditch. Our Client is a specialist within a fast-moving consumer goods sector

As an Internal Sales Representative you will need to have:

  • Experience of working in a B2B customer facing role.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sales experience is not essential but an aptitude for building relationships and a target-driven desire to succeed is required.
  • A good intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is desirable.

  • Salary: £18-£20,000 + Commission
  • Working Hours:  8.30am - 4.30pm
  • Location: Near Redditch
  • Duration: Permanent

Role of an Internal Sales Representative 

Inbound Enquiries
Handle all inbound enquiries from prospective customers. This element is expected to be around 25% of the role.
Core Activities
  • Using the internet and tools provided, research the prospect to establish total prospect potential and determine next actions.
  • Refer to, and book appointment for, field-based BDM if prospect is sizeable.
  • Produce quotation and cost model for smaller prospects.
  • Follow up quotations submitted to ensure business is won.
Proactive Telemarketing
Core Activities

Proactively contact prospects from defined sectors and/or geographies. This element is expected to be around 50% of the role.

  • Identify the right person for initial discussions and make contact via telephone and/or email.
  • Identify prospect potential and establish interest
  • Book appointment for field-based BDM for sizeable volume.
  • Produce quotation and cost model for smaller prospects.
  • Follow up quotations personally submitted to ensure business is won.
Sales Administration & Reporting
Support the Commercial & Marketing Coordinator and the Commercial Director with production of reports and management of data. This element is expected to be around 25% of the role.
Core Activities
  • Participate in, and provide data for, monthly Sales Meetings and weekly calls.
  • Report on business not won and identify reasons and trends.
  • Where required, conduct telephone surveys to support other areas of the business.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the team as required.
