An award winning manufacturer has an opportunity for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join their team. As Logistics Supervisor you will be responsible for managing the warehouse function for both inbound and outbound product.
As Logistics Supervisor you will report directly to the MP & L Manager and your key responsibilities will include:
- Warehouse management to maximise available capacity in line with supplier and customer dispatch
- Ensure material flow is in line with Lean principles and practice
- Control of internal and external customer packaging to ensure consistent flow allowing flexible manufacturing within the shop floor
- Manage material cycle counting
- Manage shop floor material Kanban racks, replenish in a timely manner
To be successful in the role of Logistics Supervisor you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience from within the automotive industry would be highly advantageous due to the fast paced nature of the role
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) is desirable however, not essential
- Strong communicator at all levels
- Experience with MFG Pro / ERP systems is required
This position is based in Brierley Hill and is easily commutable from Birmingham, Stourbridge, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Kidderminster.
