General Maintenance Operative

c£26,000 basic plus vehicle
We are currently looking for a General Maintenance Operative who is going to be working at our impressive head office site in a small team. We are looking for a confident individual who is organised and can be flexible with working both independently and as part of this team.
The main duties included will be:
To provide general building, site and ground maintenance as required across the Ulting site and associated Branches
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines when undertaking work around site and off site
Attend training courses as required by the company & maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area within the workshop
Demonstrate a good understanding of the company’s Health and Safety policy and follow all company procedures as outlined in the company employee handbook
And essential skills/experience:
Previous experience of carpentry, building repairs, painting/decorating and plumbing
Able to work alone and use own initiative or part of a team
Self-motivated
Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
Full clean driving licence
This is a permanent role and the hours will be 39 per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Friday (1hr unpaid lunch). Overtime will be paid at time and a half for any hours worked above the basic 39. We are looking to pay up to £12.50ph and this role will also come with a company vehicle for business use only.
