Our client design and manufacture precision forged and machined components and are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Plant Technician to join their team. As Multi-Skilled Plant Technician you will play a critical role in repairing and maintaining company assets including reactive and preventative maintenance issues.
Hours of work will be either static days (Mon – Thurs / Tues – Fri rotating weekly) or static Nights (Mon-Thurs). Salary up to circa £18.59 per hour dependent upon experience plus shift allowance for nights and competitive benefits package.
Reporting directly to the Lead Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Repair of company assets
- Engineering consultancy in improvement of planned maintenance checks and frequency
- Repair and maintain all plant and equipment in a safe manner.
- Work within all safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all plant and equipment is in a safe and acceptable condition.
- Identify and specify spare part requirements for machine repair.
- Compliance with company quality instruction.
- Comply with company business processes.
- Work in conjunction with production in order to minimise plant downtime.
- Ensure all Maintenance documents are completed accurately and on time.
To be successful in the role of Multi-Skilled Plant Technician, you may have previously worked as a Plant Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer and you will possess the following qualities:
- Experience of working in a Maintenance Department within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Good interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and achieve business objectives
- Clear, concise and appropriate communication style, both written and verbal.
- Able to work flexibly and meet deadlines
- Must have knowledge of machine control systems and / or mechanical workings.
- Able to identify faults on large engineering plant and work on machine installation.
This position is based near Redditch and is easily commutable from Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley, South Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster and Stourbridge.
