We are recruiting for a Paint Shop Prepper for a successful and established company who design and manufacture bespoke machinery for various industries throughout the world. They are looking to continue their success and are seeking to strengthen the team with this appointment.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager - the main purpose of the role is to prepare applications prior to being painted within the paint shop.
Key responsibilities and duties would be;
- Preparing, filling, sanding and panel preparation to high standards
- Metal sanding, roughing, polishing and prepping for paint
- Assisting with managing of paint shop consumables
- Quality checks on prepped applications
- Polishing and buffing of painted products
I would be keen to receive your application if you hold the following experience and skills;
- Experienced in prepping bodywork/applications in commercial, vehicle or automotive sectors
- Experienced in paint defect rectification and judgement in assessing of potential defects
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Hold a "can do" attitude
- Hold a friendly, approachable attitude
The role is Days - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm - Friday 8am to 1pm
The company are based in Alcester so are easily commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Droitwich, Dudley, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Stratford upon Avon, Studley, Henley in Arden.
Salary - £26,000 to £29,000 per annum
