The company are an established, successful manufacturer of bespoke parts, components and assemblies for various industry sectors. The company are enjoying strong growth and sales and as a result are recruiting for a Quality Technician to further strengthen their team.
Reporting to the Quality Director - the main purpose of the role would be to maintain quality standards throughout the company by inspection of inwards goods, components and finished products.
Key responsibilities and duties would be;
- Visual and dimensional inspection of incoming parts, components and materials to confirm conformance to specifications
- Responsible for rejection and return of non confirming materials and components
- To liaise with suppliers informing them of quality issues and to carry out any corrective and preventative actions required
- To assess and inspect in-process production parts and assemblies and liaising with production supervisors to correctly resolve any issues
- Inspection and approval of finished parts and products, highlighting any faulty parts and arranging corrective action
- Documentation of inspection results, completing reports and logs
- Assist and update reporting of Supplier Quality Ratings
- Assist with supplier improvement activities
- Process, analysis and reporting of customer returns
I would be keen to receive your application if you are a quality inspector who holds the following skills and expertise;
- Hold some previous quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience of using quality measuring tools
- Good problem solving ability
- Good computer literacy (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Have a positive "can-do attitude" and a methodical, attention to detail
The role is Days - 5 days a week (Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 1pm)
The company are based in Redditch so are easily commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Droitwich, Dudley, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Stratford upon Avon, Studley, Henley in Arden.
