The client are a renowned and successful manufacturer and stockholder of processed and machined parts and materials, supplying to various industry sectors - they are seeking to strengthen their team by recruiting a Quality Technician.
The role will report to the Quality Manager and the main purpose of the Quality Inspector role is to ensure that the finished products meet the required level of quality.
As a Quality Technician your duties will be;
- Daily product and process inspection on manufacturing areas sampling each machine for dimensional and visual inspection - record results in the quality system database
- Mechanical testing of raw materials as required - using power tools to prepare samples
- Process of any quarantined materials
- Booking in and process the returned goods as per company procedure
- Organise the rework area and record results as per plan
- Raising quality alerts and special instructions as and when required
- Responsible for the overall test program
- Visiting customer premises when required for sample collection
- Organise and perform the quarterly calibration of all measuring equipment
- Assisting with test certificates issues when quality manager is absent
I would be keen to receive your application if you hold the following skills and expertise;
- Working in a manufacturing environment with experience of quality control and quality inspection
- Hold some form of engineering or quality apprenticeship or qualification
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills
- Organised, positive and good communication skills
The role is Days - Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
The company are based in the Wednesbury area so are easily commutable from Dudley, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Birmingham, Bloxwich, Walsall.
