An excellent opportunity for a Spray Operator in the Growing Department of our client based in Faversham, Kent
Salary £26,000 per annum, dependent upon experience. Permanent
The main purpose of the role is the application of agricultural pesticides in a safe and effective manner in line with crop spray schedules to control and eradicate plant pests, weeds and diseases such that expected crop yields are not adversely affected. Spraying would always take priority and we envisage you will be performing this task 3-4 days per week. The rest of the time you will be completing other related duties such as tunnel ventilation, construction & Irrigation
Essential Skills / Experience:
- You will be a self-motivator with clear aspirations to pursue a career in growing
- You will have the ability to work on own initiative & under pressure
- You will have an understanding of chemistry (preferred)
- You will be flexible in terms of working hours
- You will have the ability to meet targets and deadlines
- You will have great verbal and written communication skills in English
- You will have PA1 and PA6A spraying certificates (required)
Additional Information
Full-time working hours will be provided, however, start and finish times will vary and working weekends will be also required. It is important that we keep our plants healthy and because of this, the spraying may take place in the late evenings or into the late nights.
Successful candidates will receive full training and will be paid for completing relevant qualifications if necessary.
