Our client design and manufacture precision forged and machined components and are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub Contract Co-Ordinator to join their team. As Sub Contract Co-Ordinator you will ultimately be responsible for review of outgoing and incoming goods to ensure the documentation and quality of the product meet company requirements. You will have a strong understanding of internal quality instructions, data, and customer specifications, produce the associated subcontract purchase orders / CofC’s and arranging the transport to ensure it is delivered to and from the supplier on time.

The role also has responsibility for all aspects of warehouse / Goods Inwards/dispatch and sub-contractors’ requirements.

Hours of work will be 08.30 – 17.30 (Mon – Thurs) and 08.30 – 13.30 (Friday). Salary circa £25,000-£30,000 per annum.

Reporting directly to the VP of Procurement, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Review product compliance to internal and customer specification requirements.
  • Generate and approve Subcontract purchase orders
  • Carry out daily admin duties e.g., Archiving, filing.
  • First point of contact for subcontract deliveries
  • Contacting suppliers to ensure products are returned to meet company needs
  • To check the operational process is fully completed and stamp and sign off.
  • To enter data accurately and efficiently on sub-contractor tracker
  • To check against the delivery note and determine the correct quantity, CofC’s are correct and visually inspect of goods to ensure no damage
  • To manage all goods received and stored in the correct location awaiting release
  • To load the vehicle in line with the Safe Working Load Procedure (SWL)
  • To attend the SQDCP meeting on a regular basis to provide updates or concerns
  • To make necessary arrangements on transport to collect products as per despatch note
  • To meet the Company Standards of Performance
  • To ensure all types of packing and despatch are in accordance with the existing Standard Operating Procedures
  • To ensure all products are despatched to the correct supplier address in a timely manner
  • To carry out the despatch process efficiently and effectively

To be successful in the role of Sub Contract Co-Ordinator you will possess the following qualities:

  • An effective time manager with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills  
  • Proven administrative skills working within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong in building relationships and able to communicate at all levels
  • FLT licence
  • Flexible with working Fridays and weekends to support business needs

This position is based near Redditch and is easily commutable from Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Studley, South Birmingham, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster, and Stourbridge.
