The company are a precision engineering company who design and manufacture small components to numerous industry sectors. Due to fantastic sales and growth in turnover they are seeking to recruit a Toolmaker for their operations.
The position reports to the Engineering Manager and the main purpose of the role is to build, modify and repair press tooling.
- To build and maintain progression and single stage press tooling
- Strip down, repair and rebuild faulty tooling
- Update any tooling designs and company drawings and documentation
- Organising procurement for spares and repairs
- Support of setters, trainees and other engineers where required
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement
Are you a Toolmaker who hold the following skills and experience?
- Experience of making new press tooling and carrying out modifications and repair on press tooling
- Progression and single stage expertise
- Worked on tooling to very tight tolerances
- Preferably worked with tungsten carbide material
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings correctly and effectively
This position is based Birmingham, so is easily commutable from Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Dudley, Solihull, Walsall, Redditch, Bromsgrove.

Hours - Monday to Thursday - 7.30 to 4.15pm Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm
