Traffic Planner
We are recruiting for an experienced Traffic Planner in the Somerset area. My client is a well-known long-established national transport provider in transport, general haulage and distribution
As a Traffic Planner you will need to have:
- Worked within a similar position with at least 3-year experience
- Able to work as part of a team but also on their own initiative
- IT Knowledge
- CPC preferred – but not essential
Details:
- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE & Bonus Scheme
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday Core hours 7am – 7pm ( usually 7-5 & 9-5 shift ) and every other Saturday morning
- Location: Somerset
- Duration: Permanent
Role of a Traffic Planner:
- Ensure company compliance with all transport policies, legislation and procedures
- Efficiently plan all of the company's vehicles
- Identify operational issues, potential problems and opportunities to improve the service and efficiency of transport operations
- Dealing with multi-drop deliveries & solving any issues on the road
- Deal with the dispatches, collections and returns
- Ensure all deliveries are quality checked, correctly packaged and allocated
- Arranging the day-today schedules of the company flee
- Good Communication skills
- Sound IT skills
- The ability to work as a team
- Geographical knowledge are skills we would look for, but most importantly a can-do attitude
