We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Transport Planning Administrator to join a highly successful and leading manufacturer based in Essex.
Competitive salary and benefits package. Hours of work will be 8am-5.30pm (Monday to Friday)
As Transport Planning Administrator you will be reporting directly to the Transport Manager and your key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Daily route planning for the HGV fleet
- Overseeing all fleet maintenance, compliance and service
- Provide effective communication between Managers, customers and drivers
- Ensuring compliance in all aspects of UK Driving law
To be successful in the role of Transport Planning Administrator you will possess the following qualities:
- Experience of route planning for multiple vehicles across East Anglia and the South East
- A working knowledge of Statutory compliance of the Company’s Operating License
- Knowledge of tachograph legislation would be advantageous
- Ability to communicate to all levels of the business
- Supervising and managing driver workloads
- Ensuring that drivers have the correct paperwork and equipment to carry out their role
- Ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to
- Knowledge of agricultural, construction and ground care machinery is advantageous
- Flexibility and good problem-solving skills, with ability to perform under pressure
- A valid CPC would be beneficial
- Be organised with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office to include Word and Excel
- Have a flexible and approachable manner
- Be self-motivated with the ability to work well with others
- Be confident and show initiative
- Attention to detail
This position is based in Essex and is easily commutable from: Ulting, Braintree, Chelmsford, Basildon, Colchester and Harlow.
